From 2008-2010 3,306 car dealers closed their doors according to Urban Science, a global consulting and software firm. Bill Marsh Automotive Group, Northern Michigan’s largest automotive retailer, not only remained open during that time, but has seen strong sales and is continuing to experience increased profitability as customers return to car lots after years of pent up demand. Bill Marsh Jr., one of the owners, shared with LLC attendees how he and his company used some of the same principles from the featured book “Great by Choice”* to help his company not only survive, but thrive during tough times.
